Marek Handzel

Editor, Institutional Real Estate Europe

Marek Handzel has been editor of Institutional Real Estate Europe since December 2017. Marek began working as a B2B journalist in 2005 and has edited various publications within the financial services, insurance and legal sectors in the UK. He has been the managing editor of Pension Funds Online, where he launched Pension Funds Insider as well as the editor of Pensions Age and Claims Media. He has also written extensively on pensions management and institutional investment for other titles such as European Pensions, Project M and Financial News. Marek has lived and worked in Warsaw, Poland, as well as in London. He is now based in Harrogate in England and has an honours degree in History from the University of Exeter.

Ana Escalante

Property Equity Research Analyst, Morgan Stanley

Ana Escalante is a sell-side Equity Analyst in the Morgan Stanley’s European Property Research team. She leads coverage of student accommodation and works closely on other sectors like continental European offices or UK logistics. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2020, Ana worked as a credit rating analyst at Moody’s.

David Moreno, CFA

Indexes Manager·, EPRA

David Moreno is an Economist specialized in Financial Markets from Universidad del Rosario (Colombia) and joined EPRA in 2016. He has around 15 years of experience within financial institutions and real estate, mainly as sell-side analyst for fixed income, corporate finance indexes management. He holds a joint Master degree in Quantitative Economics and Financial Engineering from Université Paris I Pantheón-Sorbonne (France) and Universitá Ca’Foscari di Venezia (Italy). CFA charterholder. David currently works as Indexes Manager at EPRA, leading the team in charge of the FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Index series and contributes to many research projects.
