Historically, generalist investors have been reluctant to have permanent exposure to the Listed Real Estate sector (“LRE”) due to perceived cyclicality and issues integrating LRE with the other ten equity sectors.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a roadmap for generalists on how they can successfully integrate LRE into their investment framework, using academic evidence and investor case studies, for a core LRE allocation.

It is expected that the paper will be useful for generalist investors (such as Equity, Multi-Asset, Fixed Income) to include LRE in their portfolios.
